Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! We all know that that's the way to keep our skin looking young and feeling good! I've found three fantastic lotion bases to make it easier!
Evening Primrose base contains Evening Primrose oil, which is recognized for anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Some people believe that it helps to relieve joint swelling, too. This base also contains mineral oil, which is nonirritating and is considered to be a wonderful skin protector because it moisturizes and protects, but doesn't suffocate it.
Silk & Satin base is full of goodies: Shea Butter, Aloe, Silk Amino Acids, Sunflower, and Coconut Oils. Shea and Aloe help moisturize and repair skin damage. Sunflower Oil is loaded with Vitamin E, a natural antioxidant, and Silk Amino Acids provide a protective barrier and give the lotion its smoothness.
Soy base contains Soy Protein, which helps to rebuild the collagen layer, or connective tissue, between the skin and the muscles. As we age, that collagen layer dissipates, and our skin wrinkles as it loses elasticity. There's mineral oil here, too, to protect your skin from losing more of its precious moisture.
So pick your base and pick your fragrance, and I'll put it all together in an 8-ounce plastic jar and send it to you. Then do what you know we all need to do: Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
